Consortium ApproachThe principals of the Consortium are committed to the highest standards of professional conduct and achieve this by articulating and acting on their own ethical standards and by operating within those of their client partners. As a group we have a preference for using an action learning approach to the design and delivery of our programs. We have considerable experience and skill in working in this way. We have found that action learning provides the most sustainable outcomes for participants and for their sponsoring organisations. Working as partners with organisations is an important aspect of how we like to work and is certainly reflected in our philosophy. Our aim is to prevent client dependency by ensuring transference of knowledge, understanding, and skills to staff within the client organisation. Enabling organisations to build their capability and capacity to respond to whatever comes their way is a strong part of what drives us in our work. Our partnering relationships can take many forms all of which may be needed throughout the journey with participants/ client organisation, depending on their needs, preferences and contexts. What we believe (our philosophy)Many issues facing communities and organizations today are complex, multi-faceted, interdependent and unpredictable. Creative approaches to these issues require working with multiple interests, finding common ground, and engaging diverse stakeholders in conversation and collaborative planning. Sustainable change is possible when people work on significant issues with others and commit to implement mutually agreeable solutions. This collaborative process provides people with the skills and insights to sustain the process over time.
